None sprouted Apr 23, 2010
By N. P. Planted these 7 days ago along with the tomato mix from the same seller. All of my tomatoes have sprouted beautifully, but none of these.

Poor old seeds Sep 15, 2010
By wsar Out of all these seeds, only one survived.
Only seven of these seeds even germinated and one is still alive today. I started all the seeds in Feb. 2010 and the plant just grew its first pepper. I was excited to have different peppers, but very disappointed in how these seeds didn't even germinate.
Seeing as other people have the same issues as me, I'm guessing these seeds are too old. Two stars only because one plant made it. Its pretty sad.

Biggest disappointment of the year Jul 01, 2010
By Livnletliv These were extremely slow to germinate, I was about to give up and toss the peat pots that the seeds were in in the trash and just write it off when the first pepper seedling finally made an appearance. They took nearly a month to start sprouting, and only 17 germinated. Two seedlings died within days of sprouting, two more died after transplanting. The 13 surviving plants were very slow to set fruit, 8 have yet to produce a single pepper. Also, after transplanting, some started to try to grow sideways, all have weak stems and have had to be staked so the won't fall over.
Additionally, it would have been very, very helpful if the seeds had been separated rather than all mixed together. Considering that most peppers are actually picked while green (not ripe) and all of them start out green, it's going to be difficult to determine when to pick these or what colors actually managed to make it to the garden and not die. Biggest disappointment of the season, totally not worth the money and effort.

Rainbow bell pepper review Oct 04, 2010

We love this seed company. We have had great luck with getting the seeds to germinate all of the seeds except one made it to productive plants. The peppers are wonderful! It is great to grow different colors of peppers. The peppers taste great.

Hirt's does it again! Feb 21, 2010
By Tanner Hageman I have ordered many seeds from this company and have not been dissapointed once! Their seeds always arrive in the time frame they give and I have never had problems with germination. I love fresh peppers and I know that my strong seedlings will produce very healthy fruit like the last bunch of pepper seeds I ordered from Hirt's! The only recommendation I have would be to stain the seeds so I know which pepper plants to expect but surprises are lovely too! :)
